Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in the New Orleans, LA area, specifically serving elementary schools on the west bank. This onsite role involves working within a school district following the academic calendar, providing valuable therapy services to support students' communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language pathology services to students, focusing primarily on elementary-age children. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Conduct evaluations, assessments, and progress monitoring. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders. Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana. American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certification (CCC-SLP) preferred. Experience working within school settings is advantageous. Must successfully pass district-required drug screening and fingerprinting.
Additional Details:
Position type: Contract, full-time.
Work schedule:
35 hours per week (7 hours per day, Monday through Friday), aligned with the school calendar, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Start date:
ASAP with placement through May 22, 2026.
Location:
Onsite in Harvey, LA, with assignments primarily on the west bank. Caseload and number of assigned schools: To be determined.
Compensation:
Competitive pay scaled by experience, ranging approximately from $46 to $58 per hour, based on years in school-based SLP practice.
