Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) are sought for a K-12 school setting in Lake Charles, LA, to provide on-site support for students with communication needs during the current school year (CSY). Both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply. This contract position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive special education department known for manageable caseloads, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Active Louisiana state licensure required by the start date Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates Experience in school or pediatric settings is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to work full-time or part-time, depending on availability and school needs Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively support student progress
Responsibilities:
Conduct speech-language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs Deliver direct therapy services to students across K-12 grade levels Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and special education teams to support student success Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as required
