Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication and growth for a maternity leave assignment at a vibrant elementary campus near Marrero, LA. As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you'll provide valuable onsite services during a key period, making a difference for a diverse caseload within a welcoming school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active SLP-CCC or eligibility for CFs considered State licensure (or ability to obtain before start date) Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
Your Role:
Deliver speech, language, and communication interventions for approximately 50-60 elementary students Conduct evaluations, write IEPs, and maintain up-to-date documentation Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress Contribute to a positive, inclusive educational atmosphere Engage in case management, progress monitoring, and parent meetings as needed Maintain compliance with all federal and state guidelines
Details:
Assignment runs from September 14th through November 30th, covering the full scheduled maternity leave, onsite only Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week Work exclusively with a single elementary caseload ensuring focused, consistent support This short-term post is perfect for a dedicated SLP with a passion for school-based practice—CF candidates are encouraged to apply!
