Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students with communication needs during a maternity leave assignment this fall. This full-time contract role offers the chance to provide speech-language services in a collaborative school environment for an established elementary caseload. You'll work onsite within an energetic school community, serving approximately 50-60 students. This position welcomes candidates who are Clinical Fellows (CFs) as well as those who already hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; open to Clinical Fellows (CF) Prior experience in school-based settings or with pediatric caseloads is valued Strong collaboration and communication skills for working effectively with students, families, and staff Commitment to onsite service delivery
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and deliver direct therapy to K-5 students as indicated on IEPs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and prepare supporting documentation Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student progress Maintain compliance with special education policies and state regulations Manage a dynamic caseload, participating in IEP meetings and providing timely progress updates This assignment runs from September 14th through the end of November, covering a maternity leave and offering valuable school-based experience for both seasoned SLPs and newer professionals.
