Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a direct impact in students' lives by bringing your speech-language expertise to a vibrant school setting for a well-supported maternity leave assignment. This contract opportunity runs from September 14th through November 30th, covering the fall term at the elementary level with a manageable, focused caseload. Work hands-on, full time (37.5 hours a week), exclusively onsite with a diverse group of students (approximately 50-60) who will benefit from your skilled support. You'll employ evidence-based practices, collaborate with teachers and families, and help children access their fullest potential during a crucial point in their formative years.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active state licensure for Louisiana (or ability to obtain) CCC-SLP certification preferred; Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply Previous school-based SLP experience is an advantage Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy to K-5 students Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings Work closely with teachers, other school professionals, and families Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district policies
