Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in students' lives as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist supporting a vibrant learning community near New Orleans, LA. This contract role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SLP or a strong Clinical Fellow, covering a maternity leave from September 14th through the end of November. With a full-time weekly schedule (37.5 hours) and a manageable caseload at the elementary level, you'll work on-site with dedicated educators to help students achieve their full communicative potential.
Qualifications:
Active SLP licensure for Louisiana (or eligibility for licensure) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required; strong CF candidates will be considered Experience with school-aged children, with the ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50-60 elementary students Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work onsite exclusively
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct therapy to students with a range of communication needs Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student success Engage in team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
