Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students within a unique educational environment dedicated to fostering communication skills and independence. This position is based at a specialized high school program designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences, located near Amherst, MA. As part of a collaborative, student-focused team, you will play a critical role supporting both students and a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a program committed to individualized learning.
Key Qualifications:
Valid state licensure and credentials required for Speech-Language Pathologists in educational settings Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Demonstrated experience working within schools, particularly with high school students Proficiency in supporting and supervising an SLPA Strong background using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with similar learning differences
Core Responsibilities:
Provide assessment, intervention, and therapy services for high school students in a specialized program focused on building independence Supervise day-to-day activities of an SLPA, offering mentorship and oversight Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized education plans Utilize AAC devices and strategies to optimize student outcomes Communicate progress and strategies effectively with families and colleagues This role offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, totaling 32.5 hours per week throughout the contracted academic year (estimated August 27, 2026-June 22, 2027).
