May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current SLP license (or eligibility) in Massachusetts Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants encouraged Experience in pediatric and school-based settings highly valued Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Team-oriented attitude with a flexible, positive approach to problem-solving

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students from diverse backgrounds Develop, implement, and monitor individualized educational plans (IEPs) Deliver evidence-based group and individual therapy sessions within school environments Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations Participate in IEP meetings and advocate for student needs and accommodations By taking on this rewarding contract position, you will have the chance to make a significant and positive impact every day while expanding your professional experience.
