Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Help empower high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting a renowned specialized educational program. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year, serving high school students in a nurturing, skills-based setting. You'll play a pivotal role in helping students gain communication abilities for increased independence, while providing supervision and guidance to a dedicated SLPA. What we're looking for: State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) Prior experience in school-based SLP roles, especially with high school students Proven skills in supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) Expertise in using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices Strong collaborative skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Compassionate, patient approach with students navigating ASD or other learning differences Key responsibilities: Deliver individualized and group speech-language services within a specialized high school program Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and track progress toward communication goals Train and supervise the assigned SLPA to ensure fidelity of service delivery Collaborate closely with special educators, occupational therapists, and support staff Document sessions, maintain compliance with state and district regulations, and communicate progress to families and team members You'll work approximately 32.5 hours per week on a consistent schedule aligned with the student calendar, allowing for meaningful relationships and direct impact on students' daily experiences.
