Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an engaging opportunity supporting students from Pre-K through 4th grade during the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract position lets you make a significant impact across two educational sites near Dalton, MA. You will work alongside collaborative educators and help shape positive communication outcomes for young learners.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience working with elementary-aged children is highly desirable Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to manage a caseload across multiple sites
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy to students, focusing on individualized education plans (IEPs) and speech goals Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate documentation Collaborate with general and special education staff, as well as families, to support each student's progress Support students' communication skills—in both academic and social settings—at both assigned locations Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights on speech and language development Track student progress and adjust interventions as needed throughout the academic year
