Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required Valid state licensure for SLP practice Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome Experience in pediatric or school-based settings highly encouraged Skill in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong organizational and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders Collaborate with educators and families to create effective, individualized therapy plans Document progress and contribute reports for IEP meetings Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions in both group and one-on-one settings Support students in reaching their academic and social communication goals Provide professional input and resources to teachers and parents as part of a multidisciplinary team As part of this contract assignment, you'll experience the rewarding pace of school-based therapy while building lasting relationships with students and staff.
