Position Title:
1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute Speech Language Pathologist Reports to: Building Principal, Evaluation Team Supervisor and Director of Special Education
Terms of Employment:
To cover a leave of absence from August 31, 2026 through January 20, 2027. Either B/1 (no less than $317.16) or M/1 (no less than $349.25) per diem for days worked. Non-benefits eligible, at-will position.
Responsibilities:
Supports Instructional programming by providing speech/language therapy to students as required. Schedules students into appropriate instructional groups Provide therapeutic services in both the general education and Speech office to students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and student needs Performs diagnostic evaluations and implements treatment plans in relation to student needs Consults and collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement effective therapy Serves as a consultant to school staff members in the development of services Participates in Team and parent meetings Responsible for goal writing and occasionally serving as liaison for IEPs Keep thorough records of the individual student receiving services Assists with mobility, transitioning and personal care as needed Other duties as assigned Knowledge of AAC preferred
Job Qualifications:
Master's degree in Communication Disorders, Speech and Language Pathology or a related field DESE licensed as Speech Language Pathologist Holds Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or has completed requirements and application with ASHA is pending We cannot support Clinical Fellowships at this time
