Jobs › Lowell, MA › Speech Therapist Athena Health Care Systems Speech Therapist Lowell, MA Apply We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate part-time Speech Therapist to join our team at Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell. As a Speech Therapist, you will provide patient/resident assessment, care planning, direct treatment, and consultation to a general rehab caseload. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality care and committed to making a positive impact, we want to hear from you! Weekly pay! Monday-Friday opening. Up to $55 an hour. We are not accepting CFYs at this time.
Summary:
As a Speech Therapist at Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and residents, providing speech therapy services to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being. Responsibilities:
  • Screens patients/residents
  • Evaluates patients/residents and develops appropriate care plans
  • Provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care
  • Consults with and trains patients/residents and caregivers
  • Monitors efficiencies and documents activities according to our clinical documentation system
  • Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science Degree in Speech Therapy
  • Current licensure by the applicable state agency
  • Two (2) years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred
  • CEU's per state licensure requirements
Specific Requirements:
  • Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language
