00 This school-based Speech-Language Pathologist assignment is located in Quincy, Massachusetts, a vibrant coastal city just south of Boston. Quincy offers the best of both worlds: a welcoming neighborhood feel with easy access to a major metropolitan area. The city features scenic waterfronts, beaches, and parks, along with a lively downtown that includes restaurants, shops, and community events. Its proximity to Boston means you can enjoy world-class museums, historic landmarks, performance venues, and professional sports while living and working in a more relaxed coastal community. Public transportation options and major highways make commuting and exploring the region convenient. The position is based in a public-school setting serving students from PreK through 12th grade. This broad age and grade span offers an excellent opportunity to build your clinical skills and resume by working with a diverse range of communication needs across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school levels. You will be part of a supportive educational team that values collaboration and student-centered practice, working closely with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success. This is a school-year, Monday through Friday position, scheduled for approximately 32 hours per week. The role follows the district's academic calendar. The SLP is compensated only for hours worked; school holidays, teacher workdays, and closures (including those due to weather) are unpaid. A 30-day cancellation notice applies to the contract. Typical responsibilities include assessing students for speech and language needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, providing direct and consultative services, and documenting progress in alignment with educational requirements. You will conduct therapy sessions individually and in small groups, participate in IEP processes, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate communication goals into the classroom environment. The caseload includes students from PreK through 12th grade with a wide range of speech and language disorders. This provides an opportunity to work with varied diagnoses and service models, allowing you to broaden your expertise and explore different areas of specialization within school-based practice. The setting offers meaningful, mission-driven work where you can see the direct impact of your services on students' communication, academic performance, and social participation.
