Aug 31, 2026 Job Description The Randolph Public Schools Speech and Language Pathologist provides services to students to help reduce or eliminate speech /language impediments that interfere with the individual student's ability to access the district's educational program.Responsibilities:
1. Provides a thorough assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice, hearing, and language impairments. 2. Provides a therapeutic program and develops specific performance objectives to meet individual needs of speech and hearing handicapped children, as prescribed by the Evaluation Team, and collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy by suggestions for the student's daily activities; 3. Maintains thorough, ongoing records of referred, screened, and eligible students, as well as individual students receiving therapy or other school-provided speech services. Maintains a directory of outside agencies, consultants, specialists, and related services and when requested, assists in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community, as appropriate. 4. Serves as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement, and provides information, support, and counseling to parents and families when appropriate; 5. Maintains and improves professional competence through attendance at professional development events, and by self-generated activities that meet district expectations and the requirements for re-certification; 6. Shares responsibility for accomplishing the goals and priorities of their grade/team/department, building and school district, attending all faculty and department meetings as required, and district-wide committees as needed; 7. Working with ASD students in the sub separate program and with inclusion students. 8. Performs other duties, as assigned by the School Principal and Director of Special Education. - experience working with children with Autism and Specific Language disabilities - experience with pull out services and pushing into the classroomTerms:
