Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make an impact in a specialized high school setting dedicated to supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This contract opportunity is for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about fostering independence and confidence in students at Compass High Program in Ludlow, MA. Work alongside a collaborative team to offer targeted, individualized communication supports in an environment adapted to meet diverse learning needs.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current SLP license for the state Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Previous experience working in academic or school-based settings Familiarity and proficiency with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices History of collaborating within multidisciplinary teams Prior experience supervising an SLPA is preferred
Responsibilities:
Serve high school students in the Compass High Program, focusing on communication skills that promote independence Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of students with ASD and learning differences Integrate evidence-based therapy techniques and AAC strategies into daily programming Supervise and provide mentorship to the assigned SLPA Document evaluations, progress, and treatment outcomes in accordance with district and legal guidelines Engage and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families to ensure a consistent, supportive educational experience This position offers an engaging, structured work week of 32.5 hours, with the academic year running from late August through late June.
