Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract An opening for a Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in school settings is available for a contract position supporting the ESY program at a high school in Ludlow, MA. This role is ideal for professionals with a passion for working within specialized educational environments focused on students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. The position offers 15-20 hours per week across 2-3 days, providing targeted AAC services within a supportive, personalized education program designed to foster independence in high school students.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy services to high school students in a specialized setting for ASD and learning differences Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support, focusing on service delivery rather than assessments Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized therapy goals Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of each student within the
Compass High Program Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist state licensure meeting all state requirements Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred Experience working with high school-aged students in educational settings Background in AAC service provision, with comfort in working with students who use communication devices Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Location and Schedule:
Assignment located in Ludlow, MA (client's main office is in West Springfield, MA) Contract duration: July 6, 2026 - August 7, 2026, with potential extension for the 2026-2027 school year 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days This contract opportunity offers the chance to work within a unique, specialized education program, providing valuable support to students with complex communication needs.
