Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a specialized high school program serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This role offers the chance to work in a unique educational environment focused on personalized instruction and skill-building for greater independence.
Location:
Ludlow, MA Assignment Duration:
Approximately August 27, 2026 - June 22, 2027 (subject to school year calendar)
Weekly Hours:
32.5
Program:
Compass High Program at Ludlow High School, a specialized setting for high school students with ASD and learning differences
Caseload:
High school students, with supervision responsibility for an
SLPA Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized speech-language services tailored to students with ASD and related disabilities Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective communication interventions Supervise and mentor an SLPA to maximize student support Maintain compliance with state educational and licensing requirements Participate in program development aimed at enhancing student independence and communication skills
Qualifications:
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with all state-required credentials Experience working with high school-aged students, ideally in specialized educational settings Knowledge of evidence-based practices for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related learning differences Strong collaboration and supervision skills This contract role provides an opportunity to contribute meaningful services within an innovative educational program.
