Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to support the Compass High Program at a high school in Ludlow, MA. This specialized program serves high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or other learning differences, providing a personalized and supportive educational environment outside of traditional settings. The goal is to build essential skills for independence in a nurturing atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language pathology services to high school students within the Compass High Program. Supervise a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) as part of the caseload management. Collaborate with educators and support staff to design and implement individualized treatment plans. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to meet evolving needs. Comply with state requirements and maintain all necessary documentation and reporting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) certification relevant to school settings.
Credentials:
SLP with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred. Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with similar learning differences. Familiarity with in-school therapeutic program delivery. Ability to supervise and mentor SLPA staff effectively. Must meet all applicable state licensure and regulatory requirements.
Location and Work Schedule:
Assignment based in Ludlow, MA (client's main office is in West Springfield). Contract position for the 2026/2027 school year (estimated dates: 8/27/2026 - 6/22/2027). Approximately 32.5 hours per week. This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialized educational setting.
