In this vital role, you will provide expert speech therapy services to pediatric patients, supporting their communication, language, and swallowing needs. You will work closely with children in various settings, including schools and early intervention programs, to assess, diagnose, and implement tailored treatment plans that foster developmental progress and improve quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while advancing your clinical skills in pediatrics. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric patients, utilizing knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to inform diagnosis. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans focused on improving speech, language, swallowing, and communication skills. Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure consistent support across environments. Provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers, promoting developmental milestones through engaging therapy techniques. Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies based on assessment outcomes and evolving needs. Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards. Educate families about speech development, therapeutic exercises, and strategies to support ongoing progress at home. Experience Prior experience working with pediatric populations in school settings or early intervention programs is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology and anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions. Familiarity with patient assessment techniques specific to children and understanding of medical terminology relevant to pediatric care. Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging speech therapy interventions tailored for children with diverse needs. Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including educators, therapists, and medical professionals is advantageous.
