Job Summary:
Provide school-based speech and language therapy services to students from birth through age 21, supporting communication development, academic success, and individualized education plan (IEP) goals in an in-person school environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy services to students (birth-21 years) Conduct evaluations, screenings, and assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy goals Deliver individual and group therapy sessions Manage caseload of approximately 30 students Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff Support communication and academic development goals Work across multiple nearby school sites if required
Requirements:
Active Maryland Speech Language Pathologist license required (in hand before start) Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
ASHA CCC-SLP
preferred or eligible School-based experience preferred Strong knowledge of IEP and special education processes Ability to manage pediatric and young adult caseload Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently in school setting Flexibility for multi-site support if needed
