May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) to support PreK-5th grade students for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity covers an elementary caseload of approximately 60 service hours per month, offering both in-person and flexible virtual (VOCO) arrangements—with onsite services preferred. The assignment spans the full school year, providing the chance to make a real impact within a collaborative educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

Hold an active Maryland SLP license (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) Previous experience in Maryland schools is highly desirable Experience providing speech and language services to elementary-aged children (PreK-5th) Exceptional communication, organizational, and documentation skills Comfortable providing services onsite and open to virtual service (VOCO) if needed

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and deliver individualized speech/language therapy to an elementary caseload Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to create and implement effective intervention plans Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with state regulations and school policies Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Deliver approximately 60 service hours per month tailored to student needs
