Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting students throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role calls for an engaging clinician who excels at fostering communication growth for learners with a variety of needs and backgrounds. You'll collaborate directly with educational teams and families while providing meaningful interventions that make a difference, all within a school-based setting near Easton, Maryland. This in-person position spans the full academic year and offers the chance to work hands-on with a diverse caseload of approximately 45-50 students across multiple grade levels. You'll support children and adolescents with conditions including Other Health Impairment (OHI), learning disabilities, autism, and language impairments. Your expertise will help shape strategies and interventions delivered primarily outside the general education classroom, allowing for individualized attention and targeted progress.
Qualifications:
Current Maryland licensure/certificate as a Speech Language Pathologist Experience or confidence working in K-12 schools Strong understanding of student-centered, evidence-based SLP interventions Flexibility in working with a fluid caseload and multiple age groups Skilled at collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and families Effective communicator, committed to student advocacy and developmental supportRole Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat expressive and receptive language, speech, and communication disorders Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to individual student needs Provide both group and one-on-one services Maintain documentation and progress reports for each student Participate in IEP meetings, conferences, and family communications Consult with classroom staff to maximize student success This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated SLP who thrives in a supportive, student-focused environment.
