Job Description

Job Summary:
EMIT Learning is hiring experienced Speech-Language Pathologists, SLPs, for the 2026-2027 school year in Easton, MD and nearby Maryland locations. This school-based role supports pediatric students through speech and language assessments, individualized treatment planning, speech therapy services, early intervention support, and progress documentation. The Speech-Language Pathologist will work with students in an educational setting and provide effective speech therapy services using appropriate clinical tools, technology, and evidence-based strategies.

Full-time, Contract Schedule:
40 hours per week and 30-minute unpaid break included
Pay:
Competitive hourly pay based on experience

Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for pediatric students. Develop individualized treatment plans based on each student's communication needs. Provide speech therapy services for students with speech, language, communication, and developmental needs. Support early intervention strategies for students who need targeted speech and language services. Deliver engaging and effective therapy sessions using appropriate technology, tools, and clinical methods. Maintain accurate documentation, session notes, assessment reports, and student progress records. Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and support teams. Participate in student support meetings, treatment planning, and related service coordination as needed. Follow clinical, school, and documentation standards.
Experience:
Prior school-based experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred. Experience with pediatrics and early intervention programs is preferred. Strong background in speech therapy, student assessment, and treatment planning. Experience documenting therapy sessions, student progress, and clinical records.
Qualifications:
Valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathology license, or eligibility to obtain required Maryland licensure before the start date. CCC-SLP preferred. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to work with pediatric students in a school-based setting. Knowledge of speech and language assessments, treatment planning, and early intervention strategies. Ability to work full-time during the 2026-2027 school year.
