Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Combine your expertise in speech-language pathology with the rewarding opportunity to support K-12 students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contract position offers a part-time schedule—ideal for professionals seeking meaningful work over the summer with dedicated daytime hours. Contribute to student success in a supportive school environment near Lusby, MD, with a focus on Prince Frederick and nearby areas.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Current Speech-Language Pathology license (SLP) in Maryland Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Previous experience working with students in K-12 educational settings preferred Experience or familiarity with ESY programs is advantageous Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy to students from kindergarten through 12th grade Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to students' needs Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress as required by school and regulatory guidelines Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff to promote students' communication development Support IEP goals and participate in relevant meetings or consultations as necessary Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment throughout the ESY program
