Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will make an immediate and lasting impact within a supportive school environment. Opportunities are available for qualified professionals at the high school, elementary, and middle school levels. Depending on your preference and scheduling needs, positions can be combined to achieve a full-time schedule, ensuring you can maximize your experience and growth. Current openings include placements at Wilde Lake High School, Forest Ridge Elementary, and Hammond Middle School. Scheduling options currently range from three to four days per week at each location, with the potential for expanding to five days. These roles require working onsite and provide the chance for collaborative work with both students and staff. The contract extends through June 2027, offering stability and professional continuity.
Key Qualifications:
Maryland SLP License required (active and in good standing) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or eligible Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Experience in a school setting preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work with diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual and group settings Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development This contract role offers the flexibility to balance assignments across multiple schools, providing varied and meaningful day-to-day interactions.
