Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Current SLP license in Maryland, or eligibility to obtain Experience working in K-12 schools preferred Strong ability to create and follow individualized education plans (IEPs) Effective communication with students, families, and educational staff Organizational skills and adaptability in a school-based setting
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans (IEPs) Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and other school professionals to maximize student progress Provide direct therapy to students individually and in small groups Maintain documentation in accordance with school and state regulations Consult with families to support carryover of communication strategies at home Contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams This full-time speech-language pathology position offers the chance to work on campus with four SLPs, ensuring robust collaboration and support.
