Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract role will have you working across multiple locations with K-12 options, offering variety and diverse experiences within the school setting. The position is set to begin in August 2026 and continues through June 2027, following a standard 37.5-hour workweek. The need is for dedicated, onsite professionals committed to empowering young learners through effective speech and language intervention.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Speech Language Pathology license in Maryland (MD SLP License) Maryland Teaching Certificate (MD Teaching Cert) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Previous experience working with school-aged children is a plus Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families Strong organizational and communication skills Flexibility to work at multiple school sites within the assigned area

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in K-12 Assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans for students with communication disorders Document student progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of educational plans Offer screenings and participate in multidisciplinary team evaluations when needed
