Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students, with a primary focus on elementary ages, as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a local school setting near Augusta, ME. This full-time contract position offers a dynamic environment where your skills will have a lasting impact on the academic and personal growth of young learners.
Desired Qualifications:
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP, CCC-SLP, SLP-CFY, or SLPA Experience working in schools or healthcare settings preferred Proficiency in teletherapy is a plus, but not required Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families Commitment to evidence-based practices for speech and language interventions Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skillsRole Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload of K-12 students, with a primary focus on elementary students Conduct assessments, create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and regularly monitor student progress Deliver both direct therapy and consultation services, adapting to in-person, virtual, or hybrid models as needed Document evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports according to school guidelines Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support academic achievement Offer guidance and support to teachers and families regarding speech and language needsBenefits:
