Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract position offers licensed Speech-Language Pathologists the opportunity to provide essential services across multiple school sites in the Belfast, ME area. Serving students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, this role involves a dynamic caseload generally ranging from 10 to 15 students, allowing for impactful engagement across a spectrum of developmental and communication needs.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering speech-language therapy services to students within school settings Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Managing a caseload that requires travel between various school sites Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate therapy records Adhering to all relevant guidelines, policies, and therapeutic best practices Qualifications and desired experience: Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Experience working in school-based settings with children ranging from preschool age to grade 12 Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and adapt therapy approaches accordingly Excellent communication and teamwork skills Willingness to travel between school sites as required This position offers a structured schedule of 7 hours per day, 5 days per week, from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Teletherapy services are not part of this role, emphasizing in-person interaction to best support student outcomes.
