Job Description:
Join PowerBack Rehabilitation, a leader in post-hospital rehabilitation, and bring your expertise in speech therapy to a team dedicated to helping patients recover their independence after significant medical events. As a Speech Therapist at PowerBack Rehabilitation, you will implement personalized therapy programs designed to restore and enhance patient communication and swallowing functions. Your role will be pivotal in our mission to deliver high-impact care tailored to each patient's specific recovery needs, driving towards the goal of achieving the best possible outcomes after surgeries, injuries, or illnesses. Assess patient speech, language, and swallowing abilities and devise appropriate treatment plans. Work collaboratively with other rehabilitation specialists to integrate speech therapy with overall patient care. Provide patient and family education on communication strategies and swallowing safety techniques. Document patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary to ensure optimal recovery. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and strategize patient care plans. Strong understanding of speech therapy principles and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to design and administer speech therapy programs. Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Empathy and patience in dealing with patients facing challenging recoveries. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Current state license in Speech-Language Pathology. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
