Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication needs for the upcoming academic year. Provide speech-language services to learners in 3rd through 12th grade as part of a collaborative school-based team. This role offers flexibility in scheduling within typical school hours and the chance to make a meaningful difference with a diverse age group. The assignment runs from August 19, 2026, through June 9, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours near Burton, MI.
Desired Background & Skills:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Active or eligible license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the appropriate state ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or status as Clinical Fellow (CFY) considered School-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds are welcome Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities Comfort supporting a caseload of students in grades 3-12, tailoring services to a range of needs
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech and language assessments, identify therapy needs, and monitor student progress Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEPs and educational goals Collaborate with educators, other specialists, and families to optimize student outcomes Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy sessions within the school schedule Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state requirements Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and progress updates In this role, you'll have the flexibility to adjust your daily start/end time, ensuring a healthy work-life balance while immersing yourself in a supportive educational environment.
