Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting 4th through 6th grade students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the fall 2026 term. This contract opportunity spans from September to November, providing a chance to make a meaningful difference in a welcoming school environment near Cheboygan, MI. With a manageable case load and regular school hours (37.5 hours per week), you'll play a key part in students' academic and personal growth.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Speech-Language Pathologist license valid in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain one) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or recent graduates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) encouraged to apply Previous experience working in a school setting preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with school staff and familiesYour Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to 4th - 6th grade students. Deliver direct therapy services, both individual and group, targeting communication, speech, and language needs. Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and family members to maximize student outcomes. Maintain clear documentation and progress reports in line with district and federal requirements. Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and other school-based activities.
