A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role where you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' communication skills and their overall success in the classroom. We are seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with an SLP-CCC credential for an engaging contract assignment spanning the school year. This position runs from September 2, 2026, through June 10, 2027, and offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Valid state licensure or eligibility for Michigan licensure Previous experience working in school-based settings is highly valued Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs Deliver therapy sessions to students in individual and group settings Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, progress, and meetings Provide guidance and resources to educators and support staff regarding speech and language development
