9637992-48423 Job Description Step into a dynamic educational setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting students in multiple school environments near the greater Lapeer region. This rewarding contract position runs through June 2027 and involves serving a diverse caseload across four closely situated school sitesallowing you to truly focus on each group without the challenge of back-and-forth travel during your day. Youll collaborate with educators and families as you empower students with a range of speech, language, and cognitive needs, including general education pupils and those on the autism spectrum or with mild cognitive challenges. What we look for:
Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Experience in school-based settings preferred Expertise in developing and delivering inclusive speech-language interventions Familiarity with IEP processes and student goal-setting Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration abilities Comfort working independently across multiple sites (travel between schools limited to one per day) Role highlights: Carry a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students at each site Design and implement individualized speech-language therapy for students with varying needs Conduct assessments, update IEPs, and provide ongoing progress reporting Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with state and federal requirements Remain onsite to participate fully in the school communities If youre excited to make a lasting difference in students daily lives, your dedication and skills can shine here.
