A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

This part-time contract opportunity is perfect for an enthusiastic SLP who is ready to contribute expertise to a small caseload within an autism resource classroom. With a flexible 16-21 hour work week, this position offers the chance to build strong relationships and make a visible impact, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time.

Key Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) status accepted Valid state licensure for speech-language pathology Experience in school-based environments, particularly with elementary-aged students Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Passion for supporting children with autism spectrum disorder in a resource classroom

Responsibilities:

Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload of five elementary students participating in an autism support program Create and implement individualized treatment plans to address a broad range of communication needs Collaborate proactively with special education teachers, aides, and families to promote student progress Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records for IEP goals and compliance Contribute to team meetings and assist in developing strategies for academic and social success within the resource classroom
