In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of speech, language, and communication disorders across various populations, including pediatric and geriatric patients. Responsibilities Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to identify communication impairments in patients of all ages, including children with early intervention needs and older adults with speech or swallowing difficulties Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, goals, and medical background Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques for speech therapy, language therapy, voice disorders, fluency issues, and cognitive-communication challenges Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive treatment strategies and effective progress tracking Document patient progress accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), maintaining detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes Educate patients and their families on communication strategies, exercises, and home programs to reinforce therapy goals outside of clinical sessions Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care for patients with complex needs or disabilities Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or equivalent credential Proven experience working with pediatric populations, including early intervention programs and school-based settings Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology related to speech and swallowing functions, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology Experience conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for diverse populations with speech impairments or disabilities Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and experience delivering remote speech-language services is preferred Ability to work effectively with children as well as geriatric patients experiencing age-related communication challenges Excellent collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary teams including educators, therapists, physicians, and families Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and patient management Join us to help transform lives through innovative speech-language therapy!
