Job Description

We are seeking a Part Time dynamic and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our Team! Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at a small K-8 charter school. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing speech therapy services, particularly in early intervention and pediatrics in an educational setting. This role involves working closely with children to assess, determine special education eligibility, and treat speech and language disorders, ensuring that each student receives the highest level of care. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech and language abilities in children. Develop individualized education plans tailored to each student's needs. Attend and contribute to IEP meetings for students with Speech services. Implement speech therapy services to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, and language comprehension. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support the child's development. Document student progress and modify plans as necessary. Maintain knowledge of current best practices in speech therapy and relevant medical terminology. Requirements Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist. Experience in early intervention in a school setting is preferred. Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and development of plans. Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech-language pathology. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to student care. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
