We are seeking a talented Speech Language Pathologist to help us achieve our mission. About the
Role:
As a Speech Language Pathologist at The Orchards at Harper Woods, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans that promote independence, communication, and overall well-being. With a focus on person-centered care, you will help our residents regain and maintain their speech and language skills, and empower them to live their lives to the fullest.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language needs and develop individualized treatment plans Provide speech therapy services, including individual and group therapy sessions, to promote communication and language skills Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing staff, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans Document patient progress and report changes to the healthcare team Participate in weekly staff meetings and other meetings as needed Develop and maintain relationships with residents, family members, and caregivers Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care and customer service
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain certification Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
