A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

JoinHillsdale Hospital and bring your expertise to Skilled Nursing, Acute Care, Outpatient, and Home Health environments—all while working with a supportive, patient-focused team. Key Responsibilities - Interim Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) What You'll Do Evaluate and treat patients across SNU, Acute Care, Outpatient, and Home Health settings. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve speech, language, and swallowing. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care. Document accurately using multiple EMRs (Net Health, Agile, Brightree)—training provided. Provide MBSS expertise when applicable. Required Skills and Knowledge - Interim Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) What You Bring Active Michigan SLP License (required). Experience in Home Health and Acute Care preferred—training available. Familiarity with MBSS is a plus. Strong communication, adaptability, and patient-centered approach. Consistent weekday schedule:
