Job Description

About us: Functional Kids Therapy Center LLC is a privately owned outpatient pediatric clinic. We are dedicated to providing high-quality occupational, speech, and physical therapy services in a fun, supportive, and collaborative environment. We focus on helping children reach their fullest potential through individualized, play-based care. We are looking for an additional team member to support our growing caseload at our Battle Creek location! This role may be structured as either a W2 employee or 1099 contractor position, based on candidate preference and role alignment.
Our work environment includes:
Collaboration within our multi-disciplinary clinic Supportive office staff to help with day to day needs Modern office setting Allotment of 30 minute treatment sessions Provision of work supplies including laptop Growth opportunities
Duties:
  • Conduct speech and language assessments to evaluate patients' communication and swallowing abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Provide speech therapy services to patients with various communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and develop appropriate goals and strategies
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques to enhance speech and language skills
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing function
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to assess and diagnose communication disorders and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
