Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an engaging opportunity providing speech and language therapy services in a supportive school environment near Kalamazoo, MI. As a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist on a contract basis, you'll be instrumental in helping students achieve their communication goals for the entire academic year. This position offers a dynamic setting where your expertise will have a direct and lasting impact. What you'll bring: Credentials as a Speech-Language Pathologist, with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidacy Experience or training in school-based settings preferred Strong assessment, intervention, and progress-monitoring skills for a variety of speech and language disorders Capacity to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to maintain detailed documentation and comply with school and state guidelines Enthusiasm for supporting diverse student populations Excellent communication and organizational skills Key responsibilities: Deliver speech-language therapy services to K-12 students aligned with IEP goals Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Perform initial and ongoing assessments of students Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input for educational planning Maintain thorough records of student progress, assessments, and services provided Offer recommendations for classroom modifications and strategies Engage and collaborate with families, school staff, and administrators to maximize student outcomes This role starts at the beginning of the school year and continues through the end, covering 37.5 hours per week.
