Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for Extended School Year (ESY) services at a K-12 school located in Manchester, MI. This role focuses on providing specialized speech and language support to students across grade levels, with an emphasis on assisting children using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized speech therapy to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Implement treatment plans for children requiring AAC devices, supporting communication development. Collaborate with educators and other specialists to assess student progress and adjust therapy goals. Maintain detailed documentation and compliance with school policies and state regulations. Participate in ESY programming during summer months to ensure continuity of care.
Required Qualifications:
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology. Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings. Familiarity with AAC devices and related therapeutic techniques. Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred. Valid licensure to practice in Michigan.
