Speech Therapist in Pontiac, MI Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Pontiac, MI Job Details Contract 1 day ago Qualifications Master's degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding onsite opportunity supporting students' communication needs in a dynamic educational environment near Pontiac, MI. This contract-based role serves students across elementary and middle school settings, and candidates will support learners from PreK through 12th grade. Two positions are available, each providing autonomy and flexibility, allowing you to select your work schedule within regular school day hours. As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you'll independently manage a broad caseload, utilizing your expertise to foster students' success in speech, language, and communication skills. Your day will be filled with engaging collaboration among educators, students, and families, making a meaningful impact in the academic experience.
Qualifications & Credentials:
Valid and active Michigan SLP license (required; please provide a screenshot upon application) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred Prior experience in school-based SLP roles is highly desirable Ability to independently manage therapy schedules, caseload documentation, and reporting Comfortable servicing a diverse PreK-12 population Exceptional organizational, communication, and time management abilitiesPrimary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and interpret evaluation results Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned to student needs Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress Consult and collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelinesBenefits & Perks:
