Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position serving young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact working with elementary-aged students, including those in self-contained classrooms. You'll collaborate with educators and families to support communication development, all while building your expertise in a dynamic school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid SLP licensure in Michigan ASHA Certification (CCC) or eligible Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged Experience or strong interest in pediatric populations, especially within an educational setting Understanding of IEP process, data-driven intervention, and progress monitoring Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy to elementary students, tailoring interventions to individual needs Serve a diverse caseload, including general and self-contained classrooms Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations, develop treatment goals, and participate in IEP meetings Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to foster student growth Maintain accurate records, document progress, and adapt strategies as needed Support classroom communication skills and offer consultative services to staff
Position Details:
