Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the vibrant Sterling Heights, MI area. This full-time role offers 35 hours per week, with 7-hour workdays, and also welcomes part-time applicants able to provide consistent, full-day coverage. Your expertise will help shape young lives, empowering students with critical communication skills essential for their success. We value your preferences and strengths when considering caseload assignments, spanning K-12. Assignments are finalized with both commute time and your individual skill set in mind, supporting a positive work-life balance. Both local and travel SLP professionals are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active Michigan SLP licensure required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not mandatory Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student progress Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions Adjust intervention strategies to meet specific student needs and learning styles Travel SLPs and those seeking a flexible schedule will find a welcoming environment here.
