Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students in an ASD setting for the full 2026-2027 school year. You'll play a crucial role in the academic and communication success of about 25 students, working onsite in a vibrant school environment near Sterling Heights, MI. As an important resource for your school community, your specialized knowledge will guide children toward lasting communication milestones.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Speech-Language Pathology license (state of Michigan) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Experience delivering SLP services in a school or pediatric setting Background with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) populations valued Strong communication, organizational, and report-writing skills Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
Role Highlights:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to a manageable elementary caseload in an ASD classroom setting Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized goals for students' communication needs Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to create supportive learning environments Participate in IEP meetings and progress reporting to ensure each student receives comprehensive support Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with state/federal regulations and district policies Foster engagement and build confidence in students through innovative, evidence-based interventions This onsite position allows you to immerse yourself in the school culture and make a visible difference.
