Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2025-2026 school year, supporting students in a welcoming educational environment near Ypsilanti, MI. This opportunity is perfect for an SLP who is passionate about making a difference and eager to contribute expertise in a collaborative and student-centered setting.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid SLP license in Michigan ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Prior experience working with children or in a school setting preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students with varying needs Conduct student assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate intervention plans Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, families, and other professionals Maintain accurate records, track progress, and document service delivery Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies that best support student success Offer guidance and training to teachers, support staff, and families as needed This position offers the chance to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues, while playing a critical role in achieving positive educational outcomes.
