Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact in the lives of students by providing speech-language services within a supportive, K-12 educational environment. This contract opportunity, based near Ypsilanti, MI, is seeking a dedicated professional to work onsite with a diverse, engaged student population. The role begins August 24, 2026, and runs through June 4, 2027, with flexibility for both full-time (37.5 hours/week) and part-time schedules. You'll collaborate closely with special education teams, educators, and families to support students' communication goals and help them achieve their fullest potential. This position welcomes both experienced practitioners and clinical fellows ready to grow their careers.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in Michigan (SLP) Open to SLP Clinical Fellows with strong foundational skills Experience or enthusiasm for working collaboratively within Special Education environments Ability to manage a K-12 caseload and adapt services to various age groups Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to provide services onsite; open to candidates traveling for this position
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver direct therapeutic services to K-12 students Work collaboratively with special education teachers and school staff to tailor interventions Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state requirements Engage with families and caregivers to support student progress and advocate for their needs Participate in school meetings, professional development, and multidisciplinary team discussions Immerse yourself in a rewarding educational setting where your skills foster meaningful progress.
