Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students' communication skills in a welcoming educational environment near Austin, MN. This onsite position is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or CFY) or an experienced SLPA ready to make a significant impact on students' lives while collaborating with a dedicated team of in-person SLPs. You'll contribute directly to the development and success of both elementary and secondary students. In this role, you'll assist primarily at one elementary site with a manageable caseload of around 50, as well as work with students in a secondary setting who require heightened communication support. Your expertise will help ensure all students receive the focused, individualized attention they deserve.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active licensure or eligibility as SLP-CCC, CFY, or SLPA Previous school-based experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and related documentation Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, students, and families Passion for supporting students with diverse communication needs Commitment to working onsite (no remote options)
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to assigned students Adapt and implement evidence-based interventions tailored to student needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Maintain clear and accurate records, including IEP documentation and progress reports Consult with teachers and staff to best support classroom communication goals Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive therapeutic environment Discover the rewards of empowering students, growing your professional skills, and working within a supportive school community.
